Dear Church Family,
The Bible is replete with stories and examples regarding what people do, how they act, what type of effort, skill or support they provide (through faith) to their religion, family members, friends, those in their community and complete strangers, and through these teachings we learn about the importance of being involved in the proper type of labor; if indeed you are a Christian.
I found this interesting because we also read in the gospel that works, on their own, will not save your soul. They will not guarantee salvation. They are not something through which you can become righteous. And yet James, in the scripture I just read, tells us that faith, without works, is dead. Seems pretty confusing, doesn’t it.
They’re important, but they’re not, but they really are.
So, what is God’s view of works. Please listen to today’s service to find out.
Blessings,
Pastor Rick
